Job Summary:

The Director of Growth holds a pivotal role in defining and executing pricing strategies for both Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Data Centers; Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations, IT, Legal, and other key functions. This leadership position is instrumental in conceiving innovative pricing strategies that optimize revenue and foster business expansion. The incumbent will be entrusted with the development and implementation of pricing strategies aimed at maximizing profitability while upholding competitive positioning in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend business dynamics, contribute to pricing strategy development, and facilitate enhancements to quoting tools. Provide strategic insights to senior leadership.

  • Creative Vision: Demonstrate a creative eye to identify opportunities within a complex business environment. Cultivate a persuasive voice to align diverse stakeholders around new growth strategies.

  • Growth Targets: Support businesses with substantial growth targets, exceeding 100% annually. Rely on Revenue Management growth strategies and effective acquisition pricing strategies to achieve success.

Essential Functions:

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Understand customer value by collaborating with Customers, Marketing, and Sales to quantify and communicate the impact of services on customers.

  • Price Strategy Development: Translate business goals into price strategies for existing and new opportunities. Set performance targets by segment.

  • Product Price Setting: Collaborate with product price strategy leaders and product managers to set list prices and target prices.

  • Value Communication: Develop messages and tools to translate features and benefits into unique, measurable customer value.

  • Negotiation Support: Provide support for price negotiations in large strategic deals through specific analysis based on expertise and creative research.

  • Price Improvement Initiatives: Analyze transactional data, identify revenue growth opportunities from price management or new fees, and manage program launches with defined metrics.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

  • Independence and Initiative: Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives. Demonstrates initiative and innovation.

Ideal Capabilities:

  • Proficiency in Tools: Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace.

  • Data Management: Ability to aggregate and organize large quantities of data from multiple sources.

  • Analytical Modeling: Ability to design, construct, analyze, and explain financial and other analytics models that are insightful and transferrable.

  • Leadership: Capability to lead others, even if they don’t report directly, and interface effectively with executive management.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in business, statistics, or economics.

  • Experience: 15+ years’ experience, with at least 10 years in pricing-related roles.

  • Certification: Certified Pricing Professional recognition is highly valued.

  • Leadership: Prior leadership experience is a plus.

  • Analytic Capability: Creative analytic capability utilizing data to identify opportunities and build compelling stories for change.

  • Persuasion: Ability to lead change and influence multiple senior leaders without direct authority.

  • Multi-disciplinary Skills: Ability to interact across functions and cultures.

  • Project Leadership: Ability to independently lead multiple projects from strategy to implementation.

  • Statistical Proficiency: Familiarity with pivot tables, correlation, Tableau, CRM system experience, and exposure to price optimization tools is highly valued.

Reasonably expected salary range: $134,500.00 - $179,300.00
