The Solution Architect is responsible for managing client implementations and owning end-to-end ownership for the solution design, mainly focused on working with our Infrastructure, Operations, and technology teams. The ideal candidate has experience in implementing complex technology solutions across multiple industry verticals, with experience managing multiple projects. Strong communication skills and ability to highlight issues in a timely manner and enabling resolutions before project timelines are impacted is critical. Experience working with distributed and cross-functional teams for the high-quality and timely delivery of milestone commitments.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work cross functionally to deliver client implementations and own the solution design end to end in the UK. Including the following responsibilities:

● Maintains the relationship as the single point of contact to the commercial business to ensure delivery from engineering on committed projects

● Provide cost and project timeline estimates on new projects

● Able to design integrations with third party systems and customer systems

● Sets the tone by fostering teamwork, conveying the client vision, ensuring the team is adhering to best practices

● Operates as a lead architect – conducts code reviews, ensures code meets best practices and works with team to establish frameworks

● Provide strong technical leadership and architecture vision in decisions when collaborating across multiple lines of business

● Oversee implementation, playing single of tech point of contact and managing client implementation work across teams

● Work together with project management to develops resource plans and optimizes resources

● Identifies obstacles and informs the stakeholders of changes to schedule or scope

● Works with Scrum Masters to enable continuous improvement

● Identifies key design/implementation decisions and works to reduce risk to complete objectives

● Ensures team is following code repository and agile tool standards as defined by the program

● Ensures tests are developed and track coverage, manage integration testing

● Works with personnel to identify automation opportunities

● Tracks team defects and advocates for quality

● Manage and influence client implementations to deliver solutions to customers

● Ensure the solution can scale and continue to perform without infrastructure or volume issues

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

● Must be a UK resident for at least 1 year

● Prior experience as a software development lead with experience in applications and SQL technologies, Python, Java, and Workflow tools, database skills and other scripting languages

● Experience in Kofax/KTA, ECM and CSP knowledge is a plus

● Experience designing applications and service platforms

● Strong leadership, communication, collaboration and problem solving skills with a track record of delivery and ownership

● Familiarity with implementation design patterns and performance challenges

● 5 years of experience working with agile scrum methodologies

● 8-10 years of Java, JavaScript, and SQL development

● 5 years of data modeling / metadata schema definition

● Experience with server oriented architectures and web platform applications with ability to define and integrate with APIs and REST services

● Architectural governance and security review experience

● Experience with agile planning tools such as Atlassian JIRA, gitlab

● Mastery of code repositories such as subversion / git and artifactory repos

● Ability to lead and manage multiple projects from concept to completion

● Ability to assist in the creation of conceptual, presentation, and technical drawings for all phases of the project

● Excellent leadership skills and highly approachable communication skills with colleagues and clients

● Potential for up to 20% Travel across UK and Europe Education

● Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science a plus

● Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with distributed teams
