Title: Senior Business Development Executive, Government Sales

Location: Spain

Job summary

In this position the Senior Business Development Executive (BDE), Governmental Sales play a key role in identifying, qualifying, and cultivating new business opportunities within the public sector. Part of the role will be to actively develop the public sector strategy and to manage our partnership and ecosystem strategy within the Public Sector. To be successful in this role you will leverage a combination of excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of our products/services to drive revenue growth.

Commercial management of tenders, retenders, price negotiations across nominated public sector accounts.

Your role in our mission:

  • Accountable for new business revenue growth in the defined range of new and existing customers.

  • Drive the strategy for growth across the public sector assigned portfolio.

  • Develop and implement strategic account and opportunity planning.

  • Become a trusted advisor, maintaining a high level of current sector knowledge and to advise clients of best practice.

  • Maximise all profitable opportunities from a portfolio and be accountable for managing and driving the sales cycle.

  • Generating, effectively managing and qualifying leads to ensure a robust ‘pipeline’.

  • Understand current Iron Mountain selling strategies and methodologies.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Spanish and EU developments around Information Management and Information Governance trends.

  • Work with Field and Customer Marketing Teams to support events, new opportunity creation and solution development within the Sectors.

  • SFDC management and reporting.

  • Assess potential clients' needs and qualify leads based on predefined criteria, ensuring alignment with our products/services.

  • Deliver compelling and informative sales presentations to potential clients, addressing their unique business challenges and demonstrating how our solutions can add value.

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Valued skills and experience:

  • Experience and a successful track record in sales results

  • High level (fluent) in Spanish and English language

  • High level customer focus

  • High level financial and commercial acumen

  • Able to build relationships and operate in a matrix structure

  • Able to demonstrate positive impact in thinking and acting strategically

  • Very strong influencing skills at the senior level

  • Results-orientated, able to execute and get things done in a timely manner

  • Sound understanding of the Spain business environment

  • Ability to prioritise workload and perform well under pressure while delivering results to exacting deadlines
